EVENT OVERVIEW

The Summer 2025 edition of our Still Caring events programme has now been published, covering the period June–August 2025, together with the latest Carers Newsletter and an announcement of upcoming WanderWomen retreats. (UPDATE: note that the August retreat will now take place on the 23rd rather than the 16th.)

There are theatre trips transporting us from 1950’s America (Grease) to the furthest reaches of the universe (The Night Sky Show), boat trips to the islands of the Firth of Forth, and our usual mix of courses and day events closer to home.

ABOUT Carer Walks

Care for Carers runs a series of walks throughout the year, helping carers to get a short break from their caring roles. We travel through the quiet, peaceful parks and green spaces in and around Edinburgh, sometimes further afield, finding out a little more about our surroundings and one another.

The expected terrain is indicated beside each walk, but sturdy shoes and weatherproof clothing are always essential. Minibus transport is provided where appropriate.

Both carers and former carers are welcome to attend. Please contact us in advance to reserve a place on a particular walk.

Further details on the Carer Walks programme can be found here.
