“This was my first ever class with Care for Carers and I didn’t know what to expect. It exceeded my expectations. The quality of teaching and space was incredible. The other carers were lovely and I looked forward to my weekly class. I cannot recommend this enough to other carers who like art and design and creating within a group led by an artist. You can register your interest in attending our events by first getting in touch with us by email or phone. Please note that places are often limited and can be subject to different kinds of prioritisation according to the nature of the event and the specific programme. Where an event can accommodate the carer and their cared-for person attending together, this will be highlighted in the description.
Care for Carers runs a series of walks throughout the year, helping carers to get a short break from their caring roles. We travel through the quiet, peaceful parks and green spaces in and around Edinburgh, sometimes further afield, finding out a little more about our surroundings and one another.
The expected terrain is indicated beside each walk, but sturdy shoes and weatherproof clothing are always essential. Minibus transport is provided where appropriate.
Both carers and former carers are welcome to attend. Please contact us in advance to reserve a place on a particular walk.
