Walking Group – Rosslyn Chapel & Glen
September 24 -10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Roslin Glen is an area of outstanding natural beauty, with ancient woodland, rich wildlife and an important industrial heritage (it was once home to Scotland’s largest gunpowder mill).
Of particular interest is the stunning Rosslyn Chapel, which will be the focus of our visit on this trip. The chapel was founded in 1446 by Sir William St Clair and features mysterious symbolism in its ornate stonework, leading to its starring role in The Da Vinci Code book and film. After our chapel tour, we will also have a chance to explore the surrounding glen and castle.
Minibus transport will be provided, alternatively you can make your own way there.
